Analgin is a synthetic, non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug, analgesic, non-narcotic agent, rarely giving side effects. Reduces pain, does not have a detrimental effect on the psyche. Based on a chemical substance - metamizole sodium. Excipients: calcium stearate, starch, refined sugar.

In what situations do they take analgin

Indications for the use of analgin are pains of various origins (dental, pain in the pelvic area, colic, burn pain, injuries, pain after surgery, and helps from). Analgin is prescribed for neuritis, neuralgia, radiculitis, rheumatism; It is even used to lower the temperature during fevers (flu, etc.).

The analgesic properties of analgin are lower than those of drugs, therefore, with severe pain (extensive burn lesions, surgical interventions, cancers) it is ineffective. Main indications: mild to moderate pain. The location of the immediate source of pain does not really matter.

Easily absorbed, highly soluble in water, it is best used in cases where you need to quickly increase the concentration of the drug in the blood. Since it does not irritate tissues, injection solutions are used. Poorly soluble in ethyl alcohol. Insoluble in ethyl ether.

It is produced in tablets of white, slightly yellowish color, bitter taste, flat-cylindrical shape; rectal suppositories, ampoules with injection solutions.

How to take analgin correctly? From 240-500 mg per day, taken up to three times, once no more than 1 g (intravenously and intramuscularly).

One-year-old babies are allowed injections into the muscle, while it must be taken into account that the body temperatures of the child and the solution must match. If the daily amount of the drug is more than 1 gram, then intravenous use of the drug is indicated, but conditions must be created for anti-shock therapy.

When analgin is canceled:

  • with chronic urticaria;
  • with individual intolerance;
